“The Homecoming” Print With Season Tickets
We get many requests to frame game season tickets with a panoramic stadium print, but this one had a rather unique story. We were asked to frame the season tickets for the New Orleans Saints’ 2005 season. It turns out only 2 preseason games were played in their home stadium, The Superdome. On August 29, 2005, the dome was damaged by Hurricane Katrina, used as shelter by displaced residents and deemed unusable for the rest of the season. Our customer had the idea of preserving that time in history by having us frame the print, “The Homecoming”, from the Monday night football game September 25, 2006, the first game back in the newly renovated Superdome. With that print we added his “unused” tickets along with a paragraph explaining the events. For those of you interested in doing similar projects, we have shared pictures of the process below.
This is awesome! Great memorabilia.
